The Central Florida Memory exhibit in Second Life includes a turn of the century homestead
complete with cracker house, farm animals, one room school house, an orange grove and more.
Visitors can virtually immerse themselves in Central Florida’s past by walking through the buildings
and farm yard as well as touching virtual objects for additional information about Central Florida
Memory. While exploring the exhibit, interact with its residents to learn more about their daily
lives and routines based on materials found in Central Florida Memory. The exhibit also includes
self paced presentations on examples of digitization projects, getting started on digitization
projects, and the types of documents which are found in the Central Florida Memory collections.
