| Description | Photographic version of an original photographic postcard of the Pico Hotel, Sanford, Florida with horses in front. The postcard is color tinted. Signs around the building say Railroad Dining Room, Restaurant, and Olive Hotel. Printed on the front of the postcard is Pico Hotel, Sanford, Fla. The building was the PICO Hotel (Plant Investment Co. hotel and restaurant located on North Oak Avenue). The building was designed by Sanford architect W.T. Cotter and built in 1887, who gave the building a Turkish/Byzantine style dome. The Turkish style hotel served the railroad and steamboat passengers. The restaurant was run by the Takach family. Inscribed on the back of the photograph in pencil is: 2004.002.0047.
